José was born in 1970, Mexico City. His photographic training takes place at the Centro de la Imagen / CONACULTA / México (2000-2004) in various workshops with photographers such as Charles Harbutt, Francisco Mata Rosas, Joan Liftin, Vida Yovanovich, David H. Wells, Eniac Martínez, Raúl Cañibano, Javier Ramírez Limón and Brian Joung. Integral part of the workshop "documentary and fiction about the photographic process" under the supervision of photographers Yolanda Andrade, Marco Antonio Cruz. He works as a photojournalist in the Agency Imagenlatina 2003-2005. In 2003 won the Young Artists Scholarship FONCA the project in Los Angeles. In 2004 won the National Award for Preservation and Dissemination of Danzon · Rosa Abdala Gómez ¨, given by the Veracruz Institute of Culture and the National Center for Research and Dissemination of AC Danzon. In 2005 he won the scholarship FONCA / CONACULTA Development and Joint Ventures and published the photography book "Los Angeles, danzon of our time © 2006. He has made seven solo exhibitions and participated in 10 collective. Since 2006 a teacher of photography at the Casa de Cultura of the Universidad La Salle, México.
